Mai Knowledge is a positive influence on the team. She is always smiling and gracefully tackles the difficult days. Her work as a Scraper and Textile Porridge Chef is incredibly important to our team at Batiqua. We appreciate her optimism and dedication!

Zondiwa Manyure aka Mukoma Zondi
Painter
Mukoma Zondi is a strong team player. He is always available to help others out when they need it. He is soft spoken in nature, and is very understanding of others' needs. He works as a painter on the Batiqua team, meaning he adds all the beautiful colour to our textiles. Without his work, our textiles wouldn’t be nearly as eye-catching!

Samuel Jonasi aka Jonasi
Master Quality Controller
Jonasi is our master of detail. In his position as Master Quality Controller, he looks over our textiles after they are made to ensure everything is up to standard. He has a meticulous eye which ensures that all of Batiqua’s products look amazing when arriving to our customers. We are thankful for his attention to detail as it makes certain that each customer receives a high quality product!

Noel Zakeyo aka Zakeyo
Painter
Zakeyo loves his craft and is usually one of the first to arrive at work. He works as a Painter on the Batiqua team, placing beautiful colours on our unique textiles. He enjoys his work as a painter and it shows in his craftsmanship. Zakeyo helps to make the Batiqua products unique and noticeable!

Phibion Baye aka Mukoma Phibion
Painter
Mukoma Phibion is a joyous team member. He is always bringing the gifts of smile and laughter to the production team. We are so happy that he enjoys his work as a Painter with Batiqua. Designs are brought to life with the paint, so it’s an important job. We are grateful to have him on our team!

Oscar Tobve aka KaTobve Tobve
Upcoming artist
Katobve Tobve is an Upcoming Artist. His brother Peter runs the Artists’ department, and he is hoping to follow in his footsteps. We at Batiqua are excited to have more Artists joining our team as our business grows. We are thankful for his drive to become an Artist on our team, and we are looking forward to seeing what he can accomplish!

John Baye aka Sekuru John
Emerging Painter
Sekuru John is a self-motivated and hardworking person. He is the newest member of the Batiqua team, and is working towards becoming a Painter. New team members are important to our growth, so we are lucky to have Sekura John join the family!

Muhwati aka Geena
Painter
Geena is the sporty one on the team. He loves to play soccer in his spare time. He works as a Painter with Batiqua, and is on the forefront of our colourful designs. He takes pride in both his soccer and his work. We appreciate his commitment to the team!

Patience Mhuru aka Mai Blessed
Scraper, Quality control
Mai Blessed is incredibly caring. She loves to take care of all members of the team, and can often be found preparing lunch for everyone. She works with Batiqua as a Scraper and Quality Control person. Her attention to detail guarantees that our products follow the Batiqua standard. She is part of the reason we have such positive reviews on our products!

Simba Banda aka Banda
Painter and Chief Storyteller and Factory Tour Guide
Banda is a people person. He has been gifted with an infectious sense of humour. He works with Batiqua as a Factory Tour Guide and Chief Storyteller. He has a special ability to make all feel welcome, which makes him the perfect tour guide for our factory visitors. Banda also works as a Painter, where he aids us in making our beautiful designs. Our factory visitors love Banda, and so do we!

Uncle Lobels aka Uncle Rabhu
Senior Artist
Uncle Rahbu is a very dedicated family man, and is the father to two twin boys. This is evident in his work as a Senior Artist with Batiqua, as it’s clear that he is dedicated to his craft. As a Senior Artist, he is very important to the creation of our distinctive designs. He is always smiling and is a ray of sunshine to the team!

Peter Tobve aka Tobve
Senior Artist
Tobve is a natural born artist. If you can dream it, he can draw it. He has had no formal artistic training, yet is still an incredibly gifted artist. Tobve is a Senior Artist with Batiqua, and is essential to the creation of our designs. We are thankful for Tobve’s strong ability to create, and his enthusiasm for his job!

Baureni Baureni aka Baureni
Upcoming artist
Baureni may surprise you! He is typically very quiet, but when we have celebrations he brings amazing energy. He is a great dancer and a fun person to have at events. He is also an Upcoming Artist with Batiqua. He is currently being trained on the craft so that he can continue to contribute to our textiles. We appreciate his energy and hardwork!

Frackson Frackson aka Frackson
Seasoned Artist
Frackson is one of our long-standing team members. He is extremely patient and good-willed. He works with Batiqua as a Seasoned Artist, and is also the training of our Upcoming Artists. He is always eager to share information and techniques, which helps our Upcoming Artists to have growth in their skill set. We are so grateful to have Frackson on the team!

Wushe Makwaya aka Mai Rah
Tailor, Cutter and Quality Control
Mai Rah is a real support to the artisan women. She provides support and advice whenever it’s needed. Not only this, but she is multi-talented and can do nearly any role within the Batiqua team. Her official roles are Tailor, Cutter and Quality-Control, but she can also do painting and other important jobs. She is a key member of the team, and we are so happy to have her!

Uncle Noel aka Uncle Nodza
Oven operator
Uncle Nodza brings a positive outlook on life. He loves to preach, and can often be heard sharing life lessons with the rest of the team. He works with Batiqua as an Oven Operator, which is important to the unique features of our designs. Uncle Nodza is well-loved among the team and we are grateful he is part of the family!

Josphat Jonasi aka Jonasi
Painter
Jonasi is a brother to Samuel Jonasi, which is why they share a nickname. He works as a Painter on the Batiqua team, and helps to make our designs stand out. He has to hope his brother doesn’t catch him making a mistake! Just kidding - he is excellent at his job and we are thankful for his attention to detail and positive nature!
